Conducting a 2021 Holiday Season Food Drive to help Dulles South Food Pantry (DSFP)
As we get ready for holiday season, please think about the individuals who don’t have meals to eat. Many people across Loudoun rely on the services of Dulles South Food Pantry (DSFP) for their everyday meals. The DSFP’s goal is to alleviate hunger in Loudoun. I would like to volunteer to collect needed items and drop them off at the DSFP.
Below are the Top Needed Items for the food pantry.
Most-Needed Items
- Fresh Produce
- Crunchy Peanut Butter
- Granola Bars
- Breakfast Cereal
- Whole Wheat Pasta
- Veggie Pasta
- Spaghetti
- Canned Yams/Sweet Potato/Tuna/Chicken/Sardines/Other protein
- Dry Chickpeas/Garbanzo Beans
- Instant White Rice
- Bagged White Rice
- Dry lentils and beans
- Pancake mix
- Plain or instant oatmeal
- Fruit (in cans, plastic bags or dried)
- Tomato products of all kinds
- Pasta sauce
If you have any of the above or non-perishable items beyond these, it will greatly help. I’m planning on collecting food donations every Sunday (4pm – 6pm), Starting from Nov 7th, 2021 until Thanksgiving weekend Nov 28th 2021. If you are planning to donate any food items, please email me at [email protected] / 571-225-4592 with your address and estimated number of items, and I will stop by to pick up the items. To limit exposure, it would be best for you to leave the groceries outside in bags or boxes and leave a note indicating that they’re for the food pantry.
